Robert Graham Shirts Rock.

February 24th, 2009

Okay - I know Robert Graham’s can come off a bit fruity.  They’re intimidating, there’s just no denying that.  But hear me out.  His shirts are the most ridiculously amazing pieces of clothing I’ve ever worn.  Every time I wear a Robert Graham I get compliment after compliment.  The construction quality is about a 9 out of 10, the stitching and embroidery is top notch, and for the most part the color palettes are great.  Occasionally they’re just a bit too far over the top… but you just have to trust that once the shirt is on, it will look solid.  The fact that they’re produced in low volumes and have a wide variety of styles, is also nice - if you’re wearing a shirt like THIS, you don’t want to run into someone else with the same one.  I think it’s about time I pull the trigger again on one of these.

BMW Norma M20 Mountain Run Video

February 20th, 2009

This is completely insane.  Here’s a vid of the BMW Norma M20 doing a Mountain Run.  It boggles my mind how fast the road is being thrown at this guy.

Pagani Zonda R hits the test track

February 10th, 2009

It’s a short video clip, but holy CRAP this thing sounds amazing!  I recommend turning your speakers up as high as you can possibly get them.  Thing sounds like an F1 car - I can’t wait to see the reviews roll out for this beast.

Listen to the sound of that thing downshifting all the way down the straightaway.  This is going to be a formitable machine when it hits the streets.  Probably going to destroy the Nurburgring lap times.

Weeds Season 1

February 10th, 2009

I just ordered - and watched via my Xbox NetFlix Account - this ENTIRE season over the weekend.  As I write this I’m watching Season 2.

One Word: Awesome!

So the premise is this: Middle Aged, white, upper-middle class woman in California suburbia.  Her husband dies, and she needs to start selling dope to make ends meet.  Everything CLASSIC comes out of this woman’s life colliding with the ghetto, her family meltdown, and California suburbanites.

I cannot recommend this series enough.  Definitely 5 out of 5 stars.

Porsche Announces 2010 911 GT3!

February 2nd, 2009

Porsche has Unveiled the 2010 911 GT3!!
The last model was sheer beauty, but somehow they’ve managed to make a few improvements including More Power, Better Handling, Better Aero, Better Emissions, and More Insanity!! Read on for details.

The new Porsche GT3 is fairly close to the outgoing model, but has a few feature changes from the front.

The new Porsche GT3 is fairly close to the outgoing model, but has a few feature changes from the front.

Engine:
The new 911 GT3 has a water-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine with four-valve cylinder heads.  Now displacing 3.8 liters, it develops 435 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.  The engine sings to a maximum speed of 8500 RPM.  From a standstill, the new Porsche 911 GT3 reaches 60 mph in 4.0 seconds (according to Porshe, so probably faster).  The 2010 Porsche GT3 reaches a top speed of 194 mph! The Power-to-weight ratio is an astounding 7 lb per hourspower.  This is the most powerful Porsche 911 GT3 ever!  The new 911 GT3 is equipped with a new version of VarioCam, Porsche’s version of Variable valve control, which responds to changing loads and speeds by adapting valve timing for optimum performance.

Transmission:

The six-speed manual in the new 911 GT3 has been completely redesigned to stand up to the high demands of motorsport.  The new gearbox is lightweight and highly efficient with a precise short-throw gear lever which enables fast and accurate gearshifts.  In conjunction with the friction-optimized and lighter dual-mass flywheel, the gearbox provides an extremely high level of precision and capacity.  With perfectly matched gear ratios to the 3.8 liter engine, the transmission enables even more dynamic power development.   The GT3 comes standard with a locking rear differential, has factors of 28% when cornering under power and 40% when cornering on the overrun, which are optimally matched to the engine’s power and torque characteristics - leading to better acceleration and handling when exiting a corner

The rear end has changed slightly on the new GT3, featuring different aerodynamics and different tail lights.

The profile of the new GT3 hasnt changed much, still a pristine image of beauty

HP Pavilion dv6700

January 20th, 2009

I have been using this laptop for several months now. It’s configured with a dual core1.83Ghz processor. Originally it had 2 GB of memory but since it’s running Windows Vista it was going a bit slow. I upgraded to 4 GB of memory though from Micron for a cost of about $50 and after that it’s been running a lot better.

The computer came loaded up with tons of useful programs - including, evidently, a Full Version of The Sims! I loaded MS Office onto it and have been chugging away ever since. The Laptop was purchased from Costco and I think ran about $700. It weighs a bit more than the Dell it replaced, but the screen is super slick and battery life is better.

ByteBooth.com - Free Web and Application Hosting

January 15th, 2009

My friend told me the other day about a new service called ByteBooth.  He uses it to host all of his hobby websites.  So I went over, signed up for the service, and uploaded a small website: http://m3addict.bytebooth.com …The best part about it, is that it’s completely free.

I have to say it was super slick.  Just filled out their signup form, checked my email for the confirmation, and was off and running.  They have an interface that makes it easy to upload files through the browser, or an FTP option for advanced users.  Another cool part about ByteBooth is that they provide the ability to automatically install applications like WordPress with just a few clicks of a  button - seriously, it’s all taken care of for you in the background.  Really cool, I don’t know any other Free Hosting services like this around.

ByteBooth gives you 2 GB of disk space, 150 Gigabytes of Bandwidth, FTP Access, Immediate publication of uploaded files, an experienced support staff, a custom domain, and free instant application hosting.

Check it out: http://www.bytebooth.com

E30 Warsteiner M3 Goes on Sale

December 15th, 2008

This awesome E30 Warsteiner M3 has gone up for sale.  The owner has dropped an S50B32 Engine into the Bay and done some extensive upgrades.  Clearly a decorated car, this M3 has a racing record a mile long.  I would love to have pulled the trigger on this thing but the timing just wasn’t right.  Perhaps next time.  Either way this is a wicked example of one of the meanest cars in history.  The e30 M3 was nothing short of a fighter.
